Presenting on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 will be Gerald Wertz, P.E., assistant district executive of design with PennDOT Engineering District 3-0 and Eric Murnyack, P.E., assistant district executive of design with PennDOT Engineering District 2-0.
Registration for regional meetings is $90 per person for members and $130 for non-members. Walk-ins will be charged $100 at the door for members. Cancellations prior to the RSVP date will be fully refunded minus a 3% processing fee. The registration fee includes a buffet lunch.

Eric Murnyack, P.E.
Eric has been with PennDOT for over 20 years. In 2023, Eric took on the role of assistant district executive of design in District 2-0, overseeing a team of 100 engineers, managers, and technical staff covering the areas of roadway design, bridge design, bridge inspection, liaison, survey, utilities, row, contract management, environmental, and planning and programming. Prior to that, he was a district portfolio manager, liaison project manager-3, contract management supervisor and civil engineer supervisor in construction.
Eric is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania and obtained his Bachelor in Science in Civil Engineering Technology from the Pennsylvania College of Technology. He is married with a daughter and son.
Gerald Wertz, P.E.
With over 24 years of experience at PennDOT, Gerald Wertz has built a distinguished career in the transportation engineering field. In 2020, he assumed the role of PennDOT assistant district executive – design in District 3-0, where he leads a team of 100 engineers, managers, and technical staff.
In this position, Wertz is responsible for various functions, including roadway and bridge design, bridge inspection, geotechnical work, liaison, survey, utilities, right-of-way, environmental work, and planning and programming.
Prior to this position, Wertz held several positions with PennDOT, including district plans engineer, construction services engineer, assistant maintenance engineer, district permit manager, and civil engineer supervisor in construction. He is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania and holds a degree in civil engineering technology from the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Wertz is married with three daughters and a son.
